Material Handling Operators

EWI is recruiting experienced Material Handling Operators to support a major manufacturing operation based in Iowa.

We are looking for experienced warehouse and material handling professionals with strong forklift, inventory and logistics experience who are interested in joining a growing US manufacturing operation.

The position will support the safe and efficient movement, storage and control of materials throughout the warehouse and production environment.

Key Responsibilities
Handle, move and store materials and finished products throughout warehouse and production areas.
Receive inbound materials and allocate stock to designated warehouse locations.
Supply production teams with the materials required to meet manufacturing schedules.
Safely load and unload trucks and verify quantities of incoming and outgoing materials.
Prepare materials and products for outbound shipment.
Unpack, inspect, organise and label incoming materials.
Record material movements accurately within inventory and warehouse systems.
Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Support overhead crane operations where required.
Complete equipment inspections and identify potential defects or safety concerns.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
Follow site safety procedures, PPE requirements and equipment operating procedures.
Support warehouse and production teams to maintain an efficient flow of materials.
Assist with waste handling, recycling and general warehouse activities when required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years warehouse experience.
Minimum 2 years forklift experience.
Previous overhead crane experience preferred.
Experience within manufacturing, automotive, construction, logistics, warehousing or industrial environments would be advantageous.
Experience with inventory management and material tracking.
Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems.
Basic Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel.
Ability to read and understand delivery notes, inventory reports and warehouse documentation.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Valid drivers licence or ability to successfully complete the required vision testing for forklift operation.
Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Comfortable with bending, reaching, climbing and repetitive movements.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in hot, cold or variable warehouse environments.
High school diploma or GED required.
