We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to support the planning, estimating and financial control of complex projects. In this role, you will prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and forecasts, ensuring that projects are based on reliable commercial assumptions and current market information. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists and suppliers to develop cost-effective solutions and provide clear financial insight throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include preparing estimates at different stages of project development, analysing drawings, specifications, quantities and supplier quotations, and maintaining cost databases and estimating standards. You will monitor actual costs against approved budgets, identify deviations and risks, and support the preparation of corrective actions. The role also involves contributing to tender submissions, reviewing scope changes, evaluating claims and variations, and producing regular cost reports for internal stakeholders. You will ensure that relevant documentation, assumptions and calculations are clearly recorded and maintained.

We are looking for someone with a degree or relevant professional qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, finance or a related field. Previous experience in cost engineering, project controls, estimating or commercial project management is essential, preferably within an engineering, construction, manufacturing or infrastructure environment. You should be confident working with spreadsheets, cost-control systems and project planning tools, and have strong analytical and numerical skills. The ability to interpret technical information, communicate clearly and manage competing priorities is important. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of an additional language may be advantageous.
