Archeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Archeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting field surveys, excavations, and site assessments to identify and preserve cultural resources. This role involves analyzing artifacts, preparing comprehensive reports, and recommending strategies for the protection and management of archaeological sites. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding cultural heritage preservation.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing research designs, conducting literature reviews, and engaging in public outreach and education regarding cultural resources. The Archeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases, as well as providing expert advice on archaeological methodologies. A Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field, along with relevant field experience, is required. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is highly desirable.
