Key responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, programmes and budgets.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, site personnel, suppliers and specialist trades.
- Monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and resource requirements, taking corrective action where necessary.

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants and clients to resolve technical, logistical and programme-related issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and progress meetings, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Support the management of variations, defects, commissioning activities and project close-out requirements.
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised and professional condition throughout the project.
About you
You will have substantial experience supervising construction projects, ideally within commercial, industrial, civil engineering or related environments. A recognised construction or engineering qualification is desirable, together with relevant site management and health and safety certifications.
You should be able to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a construction superintendent, site management or senior supervisory role.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, quality control and project delivery processes.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple workstreams.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications, including a valid site safety card and appropriate first aid training.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major construction activities and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
