Key responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across site operations, including setting out, surveying and dimensional control.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies where required.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design standards, quality requirements and inspection and test plans.
- Prepare and maintain site records, daily reports, quantity measurements, progress updates and as-built information.
- Assist with the preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments and temporary works documentation.
- Coordinate with designers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and maintain progress.

About you
You will ideally have a degree or higher qualification in civil engineering, construction or a related discipline, along with relevant experience on infrastructure, highways, earthworks, utilities or other heavy civil projects. Candidates with strong site-based experience and suitable technical training will also be considered.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to work collaboratively in a demanding construction environment. You should be confident using engineering and document-control software, with experience of surveying equipment and digital construction tools desirable. A methodical approach, sound technical judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are key to success in this role.
