Webber - Project Manager - Infrastructure Management
Project Manager – Infrastructure Management
An experienced Project Manager is sought to lead the planning and delivery of infrastructure management projects across a complex operational environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project controls and ensuring that initiatives are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within agreed budgets.
You will oversee projects from initial scoping and business case development through to implementation, handover and review. Working closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, suppliers and delivery partners, you will ensure that project objectives are clearly defined and effectively managed. The role may cover infrastructure upgrades, asset improvement programmes, operational resilience, facilities, technology-enabled services and related change initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and reporting arrangements.
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors and other delivery partners to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Manage project governance, including progress reporting, financial control, approvals and change management.
- Identify risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities, implementing appropriate mitigation and escalation actions.
- Ensure that projects comply with relevant legislation, policies, technical standards, procurement requirements and health and safety obligations.
- Lead meetings, workshops and stakeholder updates, communicating complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Monitor performance against milestones, quality standards, costs and benefits, taking corrective action where required.
- Support procurement, contract management, commissioning, transition and post-project evaluation activities.
About you
You will have proven experience managing infrastructure, estates, engineering, technology or other complex projects, ideally within a regulated or operationally critical setting. A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to influence stakeholders and make sound decisions in a changing environment. You should be commercially aware, highly collaborative and committed to delivering sustainable, high-quality outcomes. Experience of risk management, contractor coordination and working across multiple projects would be particularly valuable.
