You will take overall responsibility for day-to-day field operations, ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts and project schedules. Working closely with project managers, commercial teams, consultants and trade contractors, you will identify risks early, resolve issues efficiently and keep all stakeholders informed of progress.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily construction activities across commercial projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to maintain productivity and programme performance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, method statements and construction programmes.
  • Monitor workmanship, materials and installation standards, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
  • Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture, including site inspections and corrective actions.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide accurate updates on programme, resourcing, risks and delays.
  • Support the management of variations, defects, snagging and project close-out activities.
  • Maintain clear site records, including daily reports, progress photographs and inspection documentation.

About you

You will have proven experience supervising commercial construction or fit-out projects, with a strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site management. A recognised trade, construction or engineering qualification would be advantageous, together with relevant site safety training and a sound knowledge of current UK regulations.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be confident working to deadlines, comfortable challenging poor performance and capable of building effective relationships at every level. The ability to interpret technical information, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate documentation will be central to your success.

A competitive package is available, together with the opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects in a collaborative and professionally managed environment.
