- Identify underground services and site constraints, implementing suitable controls before and during excavation.
- Lead pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress updates, quantities, inspections, variations and incidents.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to resolve technical issues and minimise disruption.
- Inspect completed works and ensure defects, non-conformances and outstanding items are addressed promptly.
About you
You will have proven experience supervising underground utilities, civil construction or pipeline projects, with practical knowledge of open-cut and pipe-bursting methods. A strong understanding of health and safety requirements, temporary works, excavation controls and quality assurance is essential.
Applicants should demonstrate sound leadership, clear communication and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Relevant trade, technical or civil construction qualifications, along with appropriate site safety and supervisory certifications, would be advantageous.
