An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Land Development Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use development projects from initial feasibility through to completion. This role will suit a commercially aware and highly organised professional with a strong understanding of the property development process and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
You will take ownership of project programmes, budgets, planning strategies and delivery milestones, ensuring that developments progress efficiently and in line with agreed objectives. Working collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, contractors, local authorities and landowners, you will provide clear direction throughout every stage of the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Manage development projects from land acquisition, feasibility and planning through to construction and handover.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery reports.
- Coordinate external consultants, design teams, contractors and professional advisers.
- Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications, supporting negotiations with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Review technical, commercial and legal information to identify opportunities, risks and potential constraints.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring quality, cost and timescale targets are achieved.
- Provide regular progress updates and informed recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support land appraisals, financial viability assessments and investment decisions.
- Ensure developments comply with statutory requirements, approved designs, health and safety standards and relevant policies.
About you
You will have proven experience managing land or property development projects, ideally within residential, regeneration or mixed-use environments. A relevant qualification in property, construction, surveying, planning or project management is desirable, alongside a strong working knowledge of the planning and development process.
Commercially astute and solutions-focused, you will be confident interpreting technical documentation, managing competing priorities and making sound decisions in a changing environment. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in delivering high-quality developments and progressing a varied portfolio of projects with significant scope for professional growth.
