Commissioning Engineer- Denmark
We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the installation, testing and handover of complex technical systems across projects in Denmark and, where required, other international locations. This role will suit an experienced engineer with a practical, methodical approach and the confidence to work collaboratively with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. You will be involved throughout the commissioning lifecycle, from reviewing designs and preparing test documentation through to system verification, fault resolution and final handover.
Your responsibilities will include developing and executing commissioning plans, inspection and test procedures, functional performance tests and integrated systems testing. You will coordinate site activities, monitor progress against programme requirements and ensure that equipment and systems are installed and operating in accordance with approved designs, specifications, safety standards and statutory requirements. The role will also involve identifying defects, investigating technical issues, supporting corrective actions and maintaining accurate records, including test results, commissioning reports, snagging schedules and handover documentation. You may also provide technical guidance to subcontractors and support client training when required.
Applicants should have proven commissioning experience within an engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or related technical environment, together with a relevant engineering qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls or building services systems would be advantageous, depending on project requirements. You should be comfortable interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documentation, using structured problem-solving methods and working to demanding deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team. A commitment to health and safety, quality and professional standards is expected. The position involves regular travel to project sites, so flexibility and a valid driving licence are desirable. Knowledge of Danish or another Scandinavian language would be beneficial, although not essential.
