We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of day-to-day operations across a busy site. This is a key leadership position, responsible for coordinating people, resources and activities to ensure work is completed to the required standards, within agreed timescales and in line with operational priorities.

The successful candidate will supervise teams and contractors, allocate work, monitor progress and resolve issues promptly. Responsibilities will include planning daily activities, overseeing site operations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that equipment, materials and facilities are used effectively. You will promote a strong safety culture by conducting briefings, identifying hazards, implementing control measures and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will also investigate incidents, support audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with managers, technical specialists, contractors and other stakeholders, providing clear updates on performance, risks, resource requirements and emerging issues. The role may involve shift work, weekend cover or responding to operational demands outside standard hours. Applicants should have proven experience in a supervisory or operational leadership position, ideally within construction, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure or a similarly regulated environment. Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the confidence to make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting. A relevant technical qualification or recognised supervisory training would be advantageous, as would experience of managing contractors and working with health and safety systems. The ability to build effective working relationships, motivate teams and maintain high standards of professionalism is also required.
