We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on support across a range of customer sites and operational environments. The role will involve planning, coordinating and delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical standard. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, contractors and internal teams, providing clear advice and resolving complex engineering issues in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities will include reviewing technical drawings, specifications and method statements; preparing site activities and resource requirements; supervising field-based work; and producing accurate service, inspection and commissioning reports. You will investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions, while supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the development of operating procedures. The successful candidate will also assist with project planning, provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety, quality and environmental requirements. Regular travel to customer locations will be required, with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours support where necessary.

You will need a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, together with a strong background in field engineering, commissioning, maintenance or technical service delivery. Experience of diagnosing complex faults, interpreting engineering documentation and working independently on customer sites is essential. Strong communication and organisational skills are required, along with the confidence to manage priorities and make sound technical decisions under pressure. A full UK driving licence is expected, and experience within a regulated, industrial or highly technical environment would be advantageous.
