We are seeking a Market & Business Development Director to lead commercial growth and strengthen market presence across Germany. In this strategic leadership role, you will identify new business opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships and translate market insights into sustainable revenue growth. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the national business development strategy in alignment with broader company objectives, while positioning the organisation as a trusted partner within its target markets.

Your responsibilities will include analysing market trends, competitive activity and customer needs; defining priority segments; and developing a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. You will build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, partners and industry stakeholders, lead complex negotiations and oversee the full sales cycle from initial engagement through contract closure. Working closely with internal teams, you will ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and converted into compelling solutions and commercially viable proposals. You will also establish performance metrics, monitor progress against targets and provide regular forecasts and market updates to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in business development, sales leadership or strategic market development, preferably within a technical, industrial, professional services or similarly complex B2B environment. You have a proven track record of opening new markets, winning high-value accounts and managing extended sales cycles. Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability and negotiation skills are essential, together with the confidence to engage at executive level. You are an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, communicates clearly and builds trust across diverse stakeholders. Fluency in German and English is required, along with a willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally.
