Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. You will work closely with design teams, contractors, suppliers, site personnel, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, programmes, specifications, and reports; assisting with project planning, resource allocation, and cost control; coordinating design reviews and technical approvals; and monitoring work against agreed requirements. You will support risk assessments, change control, procurement, commissioning, and handover activities, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal procedures. The role may also involve attending site meetings, carrying out inspections, tracking actions, and providing practical engineering solutions to emerging challenges.

Applicants should have a degree, higher technical qualification, or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, together with previous experience supporting or managing engineering projects. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project data. You should be confident working with multidisciplinary teams and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with project management tools, scheduling software, risk management, and quality systems would be advantageous.
