Storm Water Senior Engineer (Land Development)

We are seeking a Storm Water Senior Engineer (Land Development) to provide technical leadership on a diverse range of land development and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for delivering practical, compliant and sustainable stormwater solutions from initial concept through to detailed design, approvals and construction support. You will work closely with project managers, civil engineers, planners, surveyors, environmental specialists, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing stormwater management strategies, drainage reports, flood assessments, hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, and detailed civil design documentation. You will oversee the design of drainage networks, detention and retention systems, treatment devices, overland flow paths, culverts, channels and associated infrastructure. The role will also involve coordinating multidisciplinary project inputs, mentoring junior engineers and designers, reviewing technical deliverables, managing design risks, supporting authority approvals and providing technical advice during construction. You will contribute to project scopes, fee proposals, programmes and client presentations while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

To be successful, you will hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have substantial experience in stormwater engineering within land development, civil infrastructure or a related consulting environment. Professional registration or eligibility for registration will be highly regarded. You will have strong knowledge of relevant design standards, floodplain management principles, water-sensitive urban design and development approval processes. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modelling software, civil design platforms and technical reporting is essential. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to agreed timeframes.
