Lead Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of complex construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. This role will provide visible, hands-on leadership across site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple trades and subcontractors, establish clear work priorities and maintain strong communication with project management, consultants, suppliers and client representatives.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining short- and long-term site programmes; managing site logistics, sequencing and resources; reviewing drawings, specifications and method statements; and identifying and resolving technical, commercial and operational issues. You will lead daily coordination meetings, monitor progress against milestones, verify workmanship and materials, and ensure all activities comply with approved plans, relevant regulations and project procedures. The role will also involve supporting procurement and subcontractor management, maintaining accurate site records, contributing to progress reporting, and promoting a proactive culture of safety, quality, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement. You will be expected to mentor site teams and junior supervisors while setting a professional standard for conduct and performance.
Applicants should have substantial experience as a Superintendent, Senior Site Manager or equivalent, with a proven record of delivering major construction or infrastructure projects. A strong understanding of construction methods, programme control, health and safety requirements, quality assurance and subcontractor coordination is essential. You will need excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, together with the confidence to make timely decisions in a demanding site environment. Relevant technical or trade qualifications are preferred, and formal training in construction management, engineering or a related discipline will be advantageous. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret technical documentation, use standard project management systems and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-profile work, lead multidisciplinary teams and make a direct contribution to safe, high-quality project delivery.
