Lead Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of major construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. The successful candidate will provide strong field leadership, coordinate daily site operations and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules and contractual requirements. This role will act as the primary on-site point of coordination between project management, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and the client.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining short- and long-term site plans, coordinating trade and subcontractor activities, monitoring progress against programme milestones, and identifying and resolving issues before they affect delivery. You will lead daily briefings, review drawings and technical documentation, support constructability reviews, and maintain accurate records of site activities, changes, inspections and progress. The role will also be responsible for enforcing site safety requirements, quality standards and environmental procedures, while promoting a positive culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement. You will contribute to forecasting, procurement planning, risk management, commissioning and project close-out activities.

Applicants should have substantial experience in a superintendent, general superintendent or senior site management position, with a strong background delivering complex construction projects. A relevant trade qualification, diploma or degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline is desirable. You will need proven knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control, health and safety legislation, and subcontractor management. Strong communication, decision-making and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially aware and confident leading diverse teams while maintaining high standards of professionalism and project performance.
