EPC Project Manager, Utility Scale Solar (Fabens, TX)
We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to lead the delivery of a utility-scale solar project in Fabens, Texas. This role will be responsible for managing the project from notice to proceed through commissioning and final handover, ensuring that work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate all project activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining the project execution plan, schedule, budget, cash flow forecast, risk register, procurement strategy, and reporting systems. You will provide leadership to site and project teams, monitor progress against milestones, resolve technical and commercial issues, and manage change orders, claims, and contract compliance. The role will also involve coordinating design reviews, equipment and material deliveries, site logistics, construction sequencing, inspections, testing, energisation, commissioning, and turnover documentation. Maintaining effective communication with clients, utilities, authorities, landowners, subcontractors, and internal leadership will be essential. A strong commitment to health, safety, environmental protection, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance is required at every stage of the project.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline, together with substantial experience managing EPC or large-scale renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects. Experience delivering utility-scale solar projects, including photovoltaic systems, substations, transmission or interconnection works, civil construction, and commissioning, is highly desirable. Candidates should be confident managing complex contracts and multidisciplinary teams, with strong commercial, organisational, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. The position is based at or near the project site in Fabens, Texas, and requires regular presence in the field, with the ability to work in a demanding construction environment and travel as project needs require.
