Reporting to the Superintendent, this role will help coordinate daily activities, ensure regulatory compliance and provide effective leadership to operational and maintenance teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a field-based environment and responding to operational priorities, equipment issues and service requirements.

Key responsibilities include assisting with the supervision, scheduling and performance management of staff; coordinating routine and emergency maintenance; monitoring treatment processes, flows, levels and equipment performance; and ensuring facilities, pumps, pipelines, valves and related infrastructure are operated in accordance with approved procedures. You will support inspections, preventive maintenance programs, capital projects and contractor activities, while helping to maintain accurate operational, maintenance and compliance records. The role will also contribute to budget preparation, purchasing, inventory control, standard operating procedures, staff training and workplace health and safety initiatives. You may be required to participate in an on-call or emergency response rotation.

Applicants should have demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, utilities operations, or a closely related municipal or industrial environment, along with experience supervising staff or coordinating operational work. A relevant technical qualification, trade certification or post-secondary education is preferred, as is a valid operator certification appropriate to the facilities being overseen. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental legislation, treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and maintenance practices is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving ability, clear communication and strong organisational skills. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work outdoors, respond to changing conditions and perform physically demanding duties are required.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer – Water Resources to support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure and environmental projects. This role is suited to an Engineer in Training (EIT) with a strong interest in water resources, drainage, flood management, and civil infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to projects from concept through to construction, working alongside experienced engineers, technical specialists, clients, and contractors. Candidates with prior project engineering experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation for water resource and civil engineering projects. You will assist with stormwater management, flood studies, drainage design, waterway assessments, erosion and sediment control, hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, and the development of practical, sustainable design solutions. The role will also involve site inspections, data collection, construction support, reviewing contractor submissions, monitoring project progress, and helping ensure that work is delivered safely, accurately, and in accordance with relevant standards and approvals.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and have, or be working toward, professional registration or equivalent accreditation. Experience with water resources, hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, civil design, or related infrastructure projects is desirable. Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d, GIS, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, or comparable modelling and design tools will be advantageous. We are seeking an Associate Water Resources Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources projects across a range of public and private sector clients. This role is suited to an early-career engineer who is keen to develop technical expertise while contributing to practical, sustainable solutions for flood risk management, drainage, stormwater, catchment planning, and water infrastructure. You will work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, gaining exposure to projects from initial assessment and concept development through to detailed design, construction support, and completion.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic assessments; preparing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, stormwater management plans, and technical reports; developing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and schedules; and assisting with modelling using relevant industry software. You will help interpret survey, environmental, and geospatial information, review technical data, identify design risks, and contribute to cost estimates and project programmes. The role will also involve coordinating with project managers, engineers, planners, environmental specialists, contractors, regulators, and clients, as well as attending site visits and supporting inspections when required.

Applicants should hold a degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline, with relevant professional experience in water, drainage, flood risk, or civil infrastructure projects. We are seeking a Field Engineer with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure to support the delivery, commissioning, maintenance and improvement of treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and associated mechanical, electrical and civil assets. This role will involve working across active construction and operational environments, coordinating with site teams, contractors, designers and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical standards.

Key responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications and method statements; providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning; monitoring site progress and quality; investigating defects and resolving engineering issues; and maintaining accurate records, inspection reports and project documentation. You will assist with testing, performance verification and handover activities, while ensuring works comply with relevant regulations, contract requirements, health and safety procedures and environmental standards. The role may also involve supporting surveys, site assessments, risk reviews, progress meetings and the preparation of technical reports.

The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, together with a background in water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline. Experience working on treatment, pumping, pipeline or process infrastructure projects is highly desirable. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, identifying construction or operational risks, and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach are essential. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites are required, and relevant professional membership, site safety certification or experience with industry-standard project and document control systems would be advantageous.
