We are seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. Based on site, you will ensure that construction, installation, commissioning, and handover activities meet approved designs, contractual requirements, applicable standards, and project specifications. You will work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, suppliers, subcontractors, and client representatives to promote a strong quality culture and ensure issues are identified and resolved efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans, checklists, and quality procedures. You will coordinate and witness inspections, review material certificates and technical documentation, monitor workmanship, and verify compliance with approved drawings and method statements. The role will involve managing non-conformances, observations, corrective and preventive actions, punch lists, and quality-related risks through to effective closeout. You will also maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports and dashboards, support audits, and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives. Regular site walks and coordination meetings will be required, together with active monitoring of civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, cabling, battery, inverter, and balance-of-plant works.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a site-based quality management role within renewable energy, power generation, electrical infrastructure, or a similar industrial environment, with specific exposure to PV and/or BESS projects. A relevant technical qualification in engineering, construction, quality management, or a related discipline is preferred. You should be familiar with international quality standards, inspection practices, document control, and root-cause analysis, and be confident interpreting drawings, specifications, and test documentation. Strong communication, organisation, reporting, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to influence contractors and work effectively in a multicultural project team. Relevant quality certification, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent, and experience with commissioning and project handover documentation would be advantageous. The role may require regular travel or rotation depending on project location.
