We are seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer specialising in electrical and telecommunications systems to support the preparation of competitive, accurate, and commercially sound project tenders. In this role, you will analyse drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and client requirements to develop detailed cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure that all pricing is based on reliable quantities, current market conditions, and appropriate technical solutions.

Your responsibilities will include preparing bills of quantities, reviewing scope documents, obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, and identifying potential risks, exclusions, and opportunities during the tender process. You will contribute to tender strategies, clarification requests, cost comparisons, and final pricing submissions. The role also involves maintaining estimating databases, monitoring material and labour costs, and supporting the continuous improvement of internal estimating methods and processes. Where required, you may assist project teams during handover by explaining assumptions, calculations, and commercial considerations included in submitted tenders.

To succeed in this position, you have several years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within construction, infrastructure, energy, or telecommunications. You possess a solid understanding of electrical installations, low-voltage systems, structured cabling, fibre networks, security systems, data communications, or related technologies. Experience reading technical drawings and using estimating, CAD, ERP, or spreadsheet-based tools is essential. You are analytical, organised, commercially aware, and confident working to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills in English are required, and knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is advantageous. A relevant technical qualification or engineering degree is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
