We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate railway infrastructure projects covering track, electrical systems, signalling and telecommunications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing and following up projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed quality standards. You will coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders, serving as the central point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include defining project scope, schedules, milestones and resource requirements; managing budgets, forecasts, procurement and contract follow-up; and identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks. You will lead project meetings, monitor progress, handle changes and deviations, and ensure that all documentation, reporting and decisions are maintained accurately. You will also contribute to technical and operational coordination across the BEST disciplines, support permits and approvals, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, safety requirements, industry standards and environmental objectives. A strong focus on collaboration, communication and continuous improvement will be essential.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in project management within railway, transport infrastructure, construction or a closely related technical environment. You should have a relevant university degree or equivalent practical experience, along with an understanding of one or more of the following areas: track construction, railway electrification, signalling or telecommunications. Experience with contracts, risk management, financial control and working with multidisciplinary teams is highly valued. You are structured, proactive and confident in making decisions, while remaining attentive to detail and stakeholder needs. Excellent communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Swedish or another Nordic language is advantageous. The role may involve travel to project sites and coordination with teams working in operational railway environments.
