Assistant Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Assistant Superintendent to support the effective leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of a diverse school system. Reporting to the Superintendent, the successful candidate will help establish and implement strategic priorities that promote high-quality teaching, student achievement, equity, and positive outcomes for every learner. This role will work closely with school leaders, staff, families, students, and community partners to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and evaluation of district-wide programs, policies, and improvement plans; providing guidance and oversight to principals and other educational leaders; monitoring student performance and using data to identify priorities and measure progress; and helping ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and governance requirements. The Assistant Superintendent will contribute to budget planning and resource allocation, support staff recruitment and professional development, respond to complex operational and academic matters, and represent the district at meetings, public events, and community engagements. The role may also lead special projects and initiatives related to curriculum, instruction, student services, safeguarding, or organizational improvement.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional improvement, data-informed decision-making, and effective school operations. Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities with discretion and sound judgment. A commitment to inclusive practice, ethical leadership, continuous improvement, and the success and wellbeing of all students is expected.
