Water/Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery and improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will suit an engineer who combines strong technical capability with a practical understanding of project delivery, regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs. You will contribute to projects across the full lifecycle, from initial investigations and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction support, commissioning and operational review.

Your responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and cost estimates for water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping, storage, pipeline and drainage systems. You will undertake hydraulic modelling, assess existing assets, identify risks and develop effective engineering solutions that meet applicable standards and environmental requirements. You will also review designs and documentation, provide technical advice during construction, respond to project queries, and support the resolution of engineering issues. Working closely with project managers, clients, contractors, operators and other technical specialists, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Applicants should hold a degree in civil, environmental, water resources or a related engineering discipline, with relevant professional experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure. Experience with design software, hydraulic modelling packages, technical documentation and applicable industry standards is highly desirable. You will need strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professional registration or progress toward chartered status will be viewed favourably. A commitment to health and safety, quality, sustainability and continuous improvement is essential.
