Project Manager - Water Resources - Atlanta, GA

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water resources and civil infrastructure projects in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This role will oversee projects from initial planning and proposal development through design, permitting, construction support, and closeout. The successful candidate will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that deliverables meet applicable technical standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities will include developing project work plans and fee estimates; preparing and reviewing technical reports, design documents, calculations, specifications, and permit applications; coordinating hydrologic and hydraulic analyses; and supporting the planning and design of stormwater, drainage, floodplain, watershed, and water infrastructure improvements. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, public agencies, contractors, and project partners, facilitate meetings, track action items, identify risks, and implement effective solutions. The role will also involve mentoring staff, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, contributing to business development activities, and assisting with proposals, interviews, and client presentations.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources, or a related discipline, along with professional experience managing water resources or civil infrastructure projects. Professional Engineer licensure, or the ability to obtain licensure, is strongly preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations, permitting processes, stormwater management practices, and industry design standards. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and project management tools is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, financial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Occasional travel within the region may be required.
