We are seeking an experienced water-sector professional to lead a multidisciplinary professional services group across the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual who can combine technical understanding, commercial acumen and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and communities.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction for the group, oversee business performance and support the delivery of innovative water, wastewater and water resources projects. You will work closely with technical specialists, project managers and regional leaders to strengthen client relationships, develop new opportunities and ensure consistent standards across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Set and implement the group’s business strategy, objectives and growth plans.
- Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of engineers, consultants and project professionals.
- Build strong relationships with public-sector, utility and private-sector clients.
- Identify and pursue opportunities across water, wastewater, stormwater and water resources markets.
- Oversee proposals, contracts, budgets, resource planning and financial performance.
- Support the successful delivery of complex programmes and provide senior oversight on key projects.
- Promote technical excellence, collaboration, innovation and a strong culture of health and safety.
- Represent the group at industry events and contribute to regional market development.
About you
You will have significant experience in the water or environmental consulting sector, together with a proven track record in business leadership, client development and professional services delivery. A degree in engineering, environmental science, water resources or a related discipline is expected; professional registration or chartered status would be advantageous.
We are looking for a confident communicator who can influence at all levels, make sound commercial decisions and build high-performing teams. Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, developing strategic accounts and working with utilities or government clients will be highly valued. The role requires occasional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
In return, you will have the opportunity to shape a growing regional business, work on projects with lasting community impact and progress your career within a supportive, collaborative environment. A competitive package, flexible working arrangements and comprehensive benefits are offered.
