You will take responsibility for coordinating project teams, managing design development and ensuring that all works comply with relevant standards, planning conditions, health and safety requirements and environmental legislation. The successful candidate will be confident working across residential, commercial or mixed-use development schemes and will bring a practical, commercial approach to project delivery.
Key responsibilities

- Coordinate engineers, consultants, contractors, statutory authorities and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, fee proposals, risk registers and resource plans.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, reports and construction information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee infrastructure design, including highways, drainage, utilities, earthworks and adoptable works.
- Attend design, progress and site meetings, providing clear updates and resolving issues promptly.
- Support planning and approval processes, liaising with local authorities, water companies and other approving bodies.
- Monitor contractor performance, quality, costs and health and safety throughout the construction phase.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, reduce risk and deliver value for clients.
About you
You will ideally hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, project management or a related discipline, together with demonstrable experience delivering land development projects. Chartered or working towards Chartered status is desirable. Strong knowledge of UK highways, drainage and infrastructure design standards is essential, as is experience using relevant design and project management software.
Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills are required, alongside the ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound decisions under pressure. A full UK driving licence may be required for travel to project and construction sites.
