The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring that work is completed to the required quality, programme and budget. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams while maintaining clear communication with all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include planning and monitoring site activities, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing site schedules and resources, and identifying and resolving issues promptly. You will ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, building regulations, project specifications and health and safety requirements. The role will also involve conducting site inspections, leading progress meetings, maintaining accurate records, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and supporting the preparation of progress reports. You will be expected to monitor workmanship, minimise delays and waste, and contribute to effective cost control and commercial performance.

Applicants should have proven experience in a Site Manager or similar position within the construction or property sector, with a strong understanding of construction methods, site procedures and project delivery. A relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering or a related discipline is desirable, along with appropriate site safety certification. You will need excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a practical approach to problem-solving. Confidence working with contractors and project teams is essential, as is a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism. A valid driving licence and flexibility to travel between project locations may also be required.
