We are seeking a motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer, Early Career, to support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects that improve water supply, treatment, collection, and environmental performance. This is an opportunity to develop practical engineering experience while working alongside experienced professionals on projects for public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will contribute to assignments from concept through to construction and commissioning, gaining exposure to a broad range of technical and project activities.

Responsibilities may include assisting with hydraulic modelling and analysis; preparing calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; supporting the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, storage systems, and collection networks; reviewing technical information and conducting site visits; and helping assess asset condition, operational performance, and regulatory requirements. You will also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients, participate in design reviews, respond to technical queries, and support the preparation of tender and construction documentation. A strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards is essential.

Applicants should hold, or be working towards, a degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline. Previous internship, placement, or graduate experience in water, wastewater, civil infrastructure, or environmental engineering is desirable but not essential. You should demonstrate strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. Familiarity with engineering software, hydraulic modelling tools, computer-aided design, spreadsheets, or relevant industry standards will be advantageous. The role requires the ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively, and occasionally travel to project or client sites. Professional development and mentoring will be provided to support progression toward professional registration or equivalent recognition.
