Associate, Project Development

We are seeking an Associate, Project Development to support the origination, evaluation and delivery of projects from early-stage opportunity through to financial close and implementation. The role will suit a commercially minded professional with strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, and an interest in developing projects that deliver long-term economic, environmental or social value.

Key responsibilities will include researching markets, sectors and potential investment opportunities; supporting the assessment of project feasibility, risks, costs and expected returns; preparing financial models, investment papers, presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholders; and coordinating due diligence across technical, legal, commercial, regulatory and environmental workstreams. You will assist with project structuring, procurement, stakeholder engagement and negotiations, while maintaining accurate project records, action plans, budgets and timelines. The role will also involve monitoring project progress, identifying emerging issues and contributing to practical solutions that keep projects moving forward.

Applicants should have a degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, planning, law or a related discipline, together with relevant experience in project development, infrastructure, real estate, energy, investment, consulting or a similarly analytical environment. Experience with financial modelling, market research, investment analysis or transaction processes is desirable. You will be confident working with spreadsheets and presentation software, able to interpret complex information and communicate clear recommendations to varied audiences. Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You should also be comfortable collaborating with internal teams, advisers, public-sector representatives, investors, developers and community stakeholders. A proactive approach, intellectual curiosity and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team will be highly valued.
