Senior Project Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to lead the field execution of complex construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. This role will be responsible for coordinating site operations, maintaining strong safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will provide visible leadership across the project site and build productive relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, clients, and internal project teams.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining short- and long-term construction schedules; coordinating daily site activities, logistics, access, and sequencing; reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change directives; and monitoring progress against project milestones. You will lead regular site meetings, identify risks and potential delays, resolve field issues, and work closely with project management to implement effective solutions. The role also includes supervising and mentoring site personnel, coordinating inspections and testing, maintaining accurate project documentation, and ensuring all work complies with applicable legislation, permits, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and quality expectations.

Applicants should have significant experience supervising large-scale construction projects, with a proven record of managing multiple trades and delivering demanding schedules. A relevant trade qualification, construction management qualification, or equivalent industry experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, health and safety requirements, and project controls is essential, along with the ability to interpret technical documentation and use scheduling and project management systems. You will be a confident communicator and practical problem-solver who can make sound decisions under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain high standards of professionalism. The position may require travel between project sites, extended site hours, and flexibility to support key construction milestones.
