This senior leader will guide projects from early concept through contract award, partnering with owners, architects, engineers, trade partners, and internal operations teams to establish achievable budgets, schedules, and execution plans. Responsibilities include directing preconstruction activities for negotiated and competitive opportunities; reviewing project documents, design development, and constructability; developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates; coordinating value-engineering and cost-reduction initiatives; preparing milestone budgets, bid packages, and procurement strategies; and overseeing subcontractor and supplier bidding. The successful candidate will assess project risks, identify scope gaps, validate schedules and logistics plans, support contract negotiations, and present clear recommendations to clients and project stakeholders. This individual will also mentor estimators and preconstruction professionals, establish consistent processes, and collaborate closely with project executives and field teams to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to construction.

A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related discipline is preferred, along with significant experience in commercial construction preconstruction, estimating, or project development. Candidates should have a strong understanding of construction methods, plans and specifications, cost management, subcontractor markets, scheduling, and contract terms. Experience leading large, complex projects and client-facing pursuits is highly valued. Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, document management, and collaboration software is expected. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, persuasive, and capable of making sound decisions while balancing budget, schedule, quality, and client objectives. This position is based in Orlando and may require occasional travel to project sites, offices, and stakeholder meetings.
