This senior-level position will oversee preconstruction activities from initial pursuit through contract award, ensuring projects are thoroughly evaluated, competitively positioned, and prepared for successful delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to develop reliable budgets, schedules, scopes, and execution plans.

Key responsibilities include managing multiple preconstruction efforts; reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents; developing conceptual and detailed estimates; coordinating value engineering and constructability reviews; preparing bid packages; evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals; and identifying cost, schedule, and logistics risks. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, together with significant experience in commercial construction preconstruction, estimating, or project management. Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimating, scheduling, contract documents, building codes, and procurement practices is essential. Experience with large-scale or technically complex projects, including healthcare, aviation, education, hospitality, industrial, or other institutional work, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, presentation, and written communication skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build trusted professional relationships. Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, document management, and standard office software is expected. This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, a collaborative approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting demanding deadlines.
