Vice President, Florida Water Market Leader
We are seeking a Vice President, Florida Water Market Leader to guide the growth, development and delivery of water and wastewater services across Florida. This senior leadership role will shape market strategy, strengthen client relationships, identify new business opportunities and position the practice for sustained success in a dynamic and increasingly complex water environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted adviser to public- and private-sector clients, helping them address challenges related to water supply, treatment, reuse, resilience, infrastructure investment and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities will include developing and executing a comprehensive Florida market plan; leading pursuits, proposals and major client presentations; building relationships with utilities, municipalities, regional authorities, regulators and industry partners; and overseeing the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary programmes. The role will provide strategic direction to technical and operational teams, support resource planning and recruitment, mentor emerging leaders and promote a culture focused on collaboration, quality, safety, innovation and client service. The Vice President will also monitor market trends, legislation, funding programmes and emerging technologies, translating these developments into practical growth strategies and service offerings.
Applicants should bring significant experience in the water, wastewater or broader environmental infrastructure sector, with a strong understanding of Florida’s market, regulatory landscape and client community. A proven record of business development, account management and successful delivery of large or complex projects is essential, along with experience leading high-performing teams and managing financial performance. A bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or related engineering, planning, business or another relevant discipline is required; an advanced degree and active professional registration, such as Professional Engineer licensure, are preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, strategic thinking and relationship-building skills are essential. The role requires sound commercial judgement, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and a willingness to travel throughout Florida and occasionally beyond the region.
