- Monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, health and safety requirements, environmental standards and relevant legislation.
- Review technical documentation, specifications, designs, method statements and commissioning plans.
- Manage procurement, contracts, variations, change control and commercial performance.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Support commissioning, handover and the completion of project documentation and lessons-learned activities.
About you
You will have demonstrable experience managing infrastructure projects within the water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering or related sectors. A strong understanding of treatment processes, pipelines, pumping stations, drainage systems or network upgrades would be advantageous. You should be confident managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to make sound decisions in a complex operational environment.
Applicants should hold, or be working towards, a relevant qualification in civil engineering, project management, construction management or a related discipline. Professional membership or project management accreditation would be beneficial. Excellent communication, negotiation, organisation and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside a proactive approach to health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
