Project Engineer - Land Development - Austin or Round Rock

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support land development projects in the Austin or Round Rock area. This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from preliminary planning and design through permitting, construction support, and final delivery. You will collaborate with clients, civil engineers, surveyors, planners, contractors, public agencies, and internal project teams to deliver practical, compliant, and cost-effective solutions for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil engineering plans, grading and drainage designs, utility layouts, erosion and sedimentation control plans, roadway and site improvement plans, technical reports, and supporting calculations. You will assist with feasibility studies, entitlement and permitting submissions, agency coordination, plan revisions, construction documentation, and responses to review comments. The successful candidate will monitor project schedules and budgets, maintain accurate documentation, participate in meetings, conduct site visits, and provide construction administration support as required. You may also help mentor junior staff and coordinate work performed by external consultants.

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is required, along with relevant experience in land development design and project delivery. Professional Engineer licensure in Texas, or the ability to obtain it, is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as design standards, drainage principles, utility coordination, and permitting processes in the Central Texas region. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, and Microsoft Office is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication, sound technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally to project sites and agency meetings may be required.
