We are seeking a Wind EHS Senior Lean Leader to drive the integration of environmental, health and safety excellence with continuous improvement across wind energy operations. This role will provide strategic direction and practical support to manufacturing, installation, service and project teams, helping create a strong, proactive safety culture while improving quality, efficiency and operational performance. The successful candidate will work with leaders and frontline employees to identify risks, eliminate waste and establish sustainable ways of working.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing EHS and Lean strategies, standards and improvement plans; leading risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and corrective actions; and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, industry requirements and internal procedures. You will facilitate Lean workshops, Kaizen events and problem-solving activities using methods such as 5S, visual management, standard work, value-stream mapping and root-cause analysis. The role will also involve monitoring key performance indicators, identifying trends, preparing management reports and coaching teams in the use of data-driven improvement techniques. You will support the implementation of safe processes for wind turbine production, construction, commissioning, maintenance and field service activities.
Applicants should have substantial experience in EHS, Lean transformation or operational excellence within wind energy, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction or a similarly complex environment. A relevant degree or professional qualification in occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental management, Lean or a related discipline is preferred. Recognised EHS and Lean certifications will be advantageous. You should be confident interpreting regulations, leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and site-based teams. Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, travel to operational locations and manage priorities in a changing environment. A practical, collaborative leadership style and a genuine commitment to safe, efficient and sustainable operations are vital for success.
