Superintendent - Food and Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Food and Logistics to oversee the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of catering, provisioning, warehousing and logistics services across operational sites and vessels. The successful candidate will coordinate end-to-end food supply activities, ensuring that personnel receive high-quality, nutritious meals and that all goods are sourced, stored and distributed in accordance with operational requirements, budgetary controls and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities will include managing catering and logistics contractors, monitoring service levels and performance, and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, vessel teams, site managers and other stakeholders. You will plan and coordinate food purchasing, menu cycles, inventory control, freight movements and delivery schedules, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and control costs. The role will also involve overseeing stock accuracy, cold-chain integrity, food safety, hygiene, allergen management and compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures. Regular inspections, audits, reporting and follow-up of corrective actions will be required, along with support for incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Applicants should have substantial experience in food services, catering operations, supply chain, logistics or a related supervisory role, preferably within a marine, offshore, remote-site, industrial or similarly complex environment. A strong understanding of food safety systems, procurement, inventory management and contractor oversight is essential. You will need excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Relevant qualifications in hospitality, logistics, supply chain management, food safety or business will be advantageous. The position may require travel to operational locations and the ability to work flexibly in response to changing operational priorities.
