You will take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring that work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will establish clear objectives, manage expectations and drive effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, mobilisation and delivery of complex construction projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed programmes, budgets, risk registers and project controls.
- Coordinate design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Manage project teams, consultants, contractors and supply-chain partners.
- Monitor progress, costs, quality, health and safety, and environmental performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues and managing change in a controlled manner.
- Prepare regular progress reports and present updates to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Support commercial management, including forecasting, variations, valuations and final accounts.
About you
You will be an accomplished construction project professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale or technically complex projects. Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to challenge constructively and maintain focus on successful outcomes.
Applicants should have substantial experience in project management within the construction or property sector, supported by a relevant qualification in construction, engineering, project management or a related discipline. A recognised project management or construction accreditation would be advantageous. You should also be comfortable using standard project management and reporting systems, with a sound understanding of contracts, risk management and health and safety requirements.
In return, you will have the opportunity to lead high-profile projects, influence project strategy and contribute to a collaborative, delivery-focused team.
