An experienced Construction Project Manager is required to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will suit a commercially aware and organised professional with a strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety requirements, and project management principles.
You will take responsibility for coordinating all aspects of project delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will provide clear communication and effective leadership throughout each stage of the project.
Key responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from pre-construction and mobilisation through to handover and close-out.
- Develop and maintain detailed programmes, budgets, risk registers and project documentation.
- Coordinate design teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor progress, quality, costs and performance, taking corrective action where required.
- Lead regular site meetings and provide accurate progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation, environmental standards and contractual obligations.
- Manage variations, procurement activities, commercial matters and project-related issues.
- Support the resolution of technical, operational and contractual challenges.
- Ensure effective commissioning, completion, snagging and client handover.
About you
You will have proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within a relevant commercial, residential, infrastructure or refurbishment environment. A recognised qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building or a related discipline is desirable, alongside a strong knowledge of contracts, construction processes and risk management.
Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills are essential. You should be confident making informed decisions, managing competing priorities and building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Proficiency in project management and reporting software, together with a relevant site safety qualification, would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of significant projects and contribute to consistently high standards of delivery.
