The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Subject matter expert - CBTC/Signalling for a Metro project on the East coast of the US.
Opportunity
The successful individual shall be joining an international team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this project, supported by a strong team of engineers across all disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead system engineering activities across the V-cycle (EN50126)
Provide technical leadership on CBTC and signaling systems
Develop specifications, manage interfaces, verification & validation
Support proposals, client meetings, and technical workshops
Requirements:
12+ years of rail/metro engineering experience
7+ years focused on CBTC and signaling systems
Strong knowledge of EN standards and safety processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skill
Salary package:
The salary for this position is likely to be $150,000 - $200,000 gross per year

EWI are supporting a leading transportation infrastructure group who are seeking a skilled Project Manager - OCS to join a landmark Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in Canada. This role is essential to delivering the OCS scope on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality, safety, and contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the full lifecycle of the OCS scope from design coordination through procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and handover
Ensure construction activities meet all quality, safety, environmental, and contract compliance standards
Develop and oversee detailed construction plans and schedules, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain alignment with the overall project timeline
Lead and manage field engineering teams and subcontractors on-site
Control and monitor project budget for all OCS-related procurement, labor, and materials
Prepare timely progress reports and invoicing data
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and opportunities related to the OCS scope
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical
Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale OCS design and construction projects, with proven leadership on at least two major projects
Strong technical knowledge of OCS systems and components, including specification and supplier interfaces
Experience organising site construction teams for LRT or Tramway OCS works
Excellent project management skills, including schedule development and multidisciplinary team coordination
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract preferred
Comfortable working on active construction sites in various weather and terrain conditions

EWI are supporting a leading infrastructure group who are currently seeking a Track Expert to support the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of a major Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. This is a long-term opportunity to be part of a transformative urban transportation initiative, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure track systems are delivered to the highest safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and review detailed design drawings, specifications, and horizontal/vertical track alignments
Conduct field surveys and site assessments to inform track design and construction methods
Oversee integration of track systems with civil, signaling, traction power, and other LRT infrastructure
Provide technical support during construction, including inspections, installation oversight, and resolving site issues
Coordinate with project stakeholders and segment leads for full system integration
Ensure compliance with local and international rail standards and safety codes
Perform geometric and structural design for both ballasted and ballastless track types
Support procurement and evaluation of materials and subcontractors
Participate in risk reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering exercises
Lead and support readiness for dynamic testing, including inspection of tracks, switches, and special trackwork
Conduct real-time wheel/rail interface tests and track component evaluations for LRV (Light Rail Vehicle) commissioning
Manage interface with operations and vehicle suppliers during temporary operations and testing phases
Supervise inspection teams and coordinate safe LRV movements during commissioning
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is preferred
Minimum 10 years' experience in track design and construction within rail or transit infrastructure
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
Strong understanding of embedded, slab, and ballasted track construction
Experience with special trackwork (e.g., switch machines, crossovers, axle counters, wheel detectors)
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and field reports
Familiarity with commissioning, vibration mitigation, and operational interfaces
Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Additional Requirements:Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent); clean abstract preferred
Comfortable working on active construction sites in varying terrain and weather conditions
