Responsibilities will include supporting the Structures Lead in managing technical design activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports, and providing clear technical direction throughout the project lifecycle. You will contribute to design assurance, risk management, constructability reviews, value engineering, and the resolution of technical issues. The role will also involve monitoring consultant and contractor deliverables, supporting procurement and tender activities, attending design and site meetings, and helping to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, health and safety requirements, and environmental commitments. You may also be required to mentor junior engineers and deputise for the Structures Lead when needed.

Applicants should hold a degree in civil or structural engineering and possess substantial experience in the design and delivery of bridges, port structures, marine infrastructure, or similarly complex assets. Professional registration or a recognised engineering qualification is desirable, together with strong knowledge of reinforced and prestressed concrete, steelwork, foundations, temporary works, and structural assessment. Experience with design management, multidisciplinary coordination, construction methodology, and industry-standard structural analysis and design software will be advantageous. You will need excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and make sound technical decisions. We are seeking an Engineering Railway Systems professional to support the development, integration and assurance of safe, reliable and efficient rail infrastructure and rolling stock systems. The role will involve working across multidisciplinary engineering teams to define requirements, assess system performance and ensure that technical solutions meet operational, safety, regulatory and customer needs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include producing and reviewing system specifications, architectures, interface definitions, technical reports and assurance documentation. You will coordinate requirements management, systems integration, verification and validation activities, while identifying technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will contribute to engineering reviews, design assessments, hazard and risk analysis, configuration control and the resolution of complex technical issues. You may also support the preparation of tenders, supplier management, project planning and the delivery of solutions from concept and design through testing, commissioning and operational handover.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in systems engineering, railway engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in a rail, transport or other safety-critical environment is highly desirable, together with knowledge of systems engineering methods, requirements tools, verification and validation, and relevant railway standards and legislation. You will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the confidence to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. An understanding of signalling, rolling stock, railway telecommunications, power, control systems or infrastructure interfaces would be advantageous. We are seeking a Rail Electrification – Process Automation Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of automation and control solutions across complex rail electrification projects. This role will be responsible for coordinating the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through to testing, commissioning, handover and operational support. You will work across multidisciplinary engineering, project delivery, digital and operational teams to ensure that automation systems are safe, reliable, compliant and delivered to agreed cost, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities will include developing delivery plans, defining technical and commercial requirements, managing interfaces between control systems, power infrastructure, telecommunications and wider rail assets, and overseeing suppliers, contractors and specialist consultants. You will establish effective governance, track progress, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting to project and programme stakeholders. The role will also involve reviewing technical documentation, supporting design assurance, coordinating factory and site acceptance testing, managing change control, and ensuring that systems are fully integrated and ready for operational use. A strong focus on safety, cybersecurity, quality assurance and compliance with relevant rail standards and industry regulations will be essential.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience delivering process automation, SCADA, control or electrical systems within rail, energy, infrastructure or another highly regulated environment. You will be confident managing complex projects, suppliers and technical interfaces, with a practical understanding of systems integration, commissioning and asset handover. Strong communication, leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and make sound decisions under pressure. A relevant engineering, automation or project management qualification is desirable, as is experience with rail electrification, high-voltage infrastructure, industrial communications or safety-related control systems. We are seeking an experienced Senior Signalling Test Engineer to lead and deliver testing activities across railway signalling projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that signalling systems, equipment and associated interfaces are tested, verified and commissioned in accordance with approved requirements, engineering standards and project documentation. This role will involve working across project phases, from test preparation and factory or laboratory testing through to site integration, testing and commissioning.

Your duties will include developing and reviewing test strategies, test plans, procedures, schedules and documentation; coordinating testing activities with engineering, project delivery, operations and construction teams; and managing test resources to support safe and efficient delivery. You will carry out and supervise functional, systems integration, performance and failure-mode testing, ensuring that results are accurately recorded and that defects are investigated, controlled and resolved. You will also review technical documentation, support configuration and change control, contribute to risk assessments, and provide clear progress and test status reports. The role may require attendance at night shifts, weekends and possessions, together with travel to project and operational sites.

Applicants should have substantial experience in railway signalling testing, ideally gained across complex infrastructure, renewals or enhancement projects. You will need a strong understanding of signalling principles, testing and commissioning processes, system assurance and relevant railway standards, along with the ability to interpret electrical, control and signalling schematics. Experience of testing interlockings, points, signals, level crossings, train detection systems, control systems or communications-based interfaces would be valuable. Appropriate professional competence or certification in signalling testing is required, together with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers. A valid driving licence and willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required may also be necessary.
