We are seeking an accomplished Vice President – Water/Wastewater to provide strategic and operational leadership across a growing portfolio of water and wastewater projects. This senior executive will guide business development, project delivery, client relationships, and team performance while helping shape long-term growth within the sector. The role will suit a commercially minded leader with a strong understanding of water infrastructure, treatment systems, regulatory requirements, and the evolving challenges facing utilities and communities.
Key responsibilities will include developing and executing market and growth strategies; identifying and securing new opportunities; building trusted relationships with clients, regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders; and overseeing the successful delivery of complex programs from early planning and design through construction, commissioning, and ongoing support. You will provide executive oversight of budgets, schedules, risk, quality, safety, and contract performance, ensuring projects meet or exceed expectations. The successful candidate will also lead, mentor, and expand multidisciplinary teams, promote collaboration across technical and commercial functions, and support a culture focused on innovation, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager Water/Wastewater to lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning and close-out. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for high-value programmes that improve essential water and wastewater services, while working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide clear leadership, sound commercial judgement and a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance.
Key responsibilities will include managing project scope, budgets, schedules, procurement and resources; establishing effective governance, reporting and risk management processes; and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, legislative and technical requirements. You will oversee design development, construction activities, change control, cost forecasting, payment certification, claims and dispute resolution. The role will also involve coordinating internal and external stakeholders, reviewing technical and commercial proposals, supporting business development activities and identifying opportunities to improve project delivery. You will mentor project managers and wider delivery teams, promote collaborative working and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future programmes.
Applicants should have significant experience managing major water, wastewater or wider civil infrastructure projects, ideally within a consultancy, contractor, utility or public-sector environment. A strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment, networks, pumping stations, pipelines or associated civil and mechanical works is desirable. You will be commercially aware, confident communicating with senior stakeholders and capable of making informed decisions in a complex, changing environment. Experience of NEC or other relevant forms of contract, programme controls, health and safety standards, environmental compliance and quality assurance is expected. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is required, together with appropriate project management or industry accreditation. The role may involve travel to project sites and occasional work outside normal office hours.
