EWI Recruitment is working with a leading international engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Project Director for a major infrastructure programme in Riyadh.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing complex urban infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels, within a multi-disciplinary environment. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from planning through to execution, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams across large-scale infrastructure projects

Provide strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure high performance

Delivery & Execution

Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure delivery in line with specifications, budget, and schedule

Monitor day-to-day site construction activities and resolve technical and operational challenges

Planning & Strategy

Coordinate with planning teams to ensure programme alignment and delivery milestones

Stakeholder Management

Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

Quality & HSE

Reporting

Prepare detailed progress reports, including KPI analysis, schedule performance, and risk updates

Requirements for the Role

Degree (Master's preferred) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldChartered status or equivalent professional membership preferredMinimum 20+ years' experience in infrastructure projectsAt least 12+ years in a Project Director / Senior Project Management roleStrong background in roads, highways, bridges, and urban transport projectsPMP or equivalent project management certification preferred

Additional Requirements:

Salary Package:

This is a senior technical leadership role within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment, supporting the delivery of a nationally significant railway programme.

The Role

As Design Lead - Track, you will take full technical responsibility for the track (permanent way) design across all project phases, ensuring compliance with international standards, client requirements, and best industry practice.
