We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of wet utility infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater and open-cut construction. This role will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across field operations, project engineering, estimating, subcontractor coordination and client communications.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing project schedules, budgets, forecasts and execution plans; reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications and construction methods; coordinating permits, utility stakeholders, inspections and approvals; and monitoring productivity, costs, changes, risks and claims. You will lead regular progress meetings, maintain accurate project documentation, review subcontractor performance and negotiate change orders where required. The role also involves directing the resolution of technical and operational issues, supporting procurement and resource planning, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. You will be expected to build effective working relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers and internal teams while maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing civil construction projects involving underground wet utilities, water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and open-cut excavation. A strong understanding of construction sequencing, utility relocation, trench safety, dewatering, shoring, traffic control, testing and commissioning is required. Experience managing multiple projects or large, complex infrastructure packages is highly desirable. You should be commercially aware, confident interpreting contracts and financial reports, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in project management and document-control systems. Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, together with appropriate professional certifications, will be considered an advantage.

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection to lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The successful candidate will oversee daily field operations, maintenance programs, emergency response activities and long-term asset management for networks, pumping stations, valves, hydrants, manholes and related infrastructure. This role provides leadership to operational teams, contractors and technical staff while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with approved standards, budgets and performance targets.

Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance; monitoring system performance and responding to service interruptions, blockages, leaks, overflows and other operational incidents; and ensuring accurate work tracking, inspections, records and reporting. You will contribute to capital planning, renewal strategies, operating budgets and procurement activities, as well as review designs and construction projects affecting distribution and collection systems. The role will also establish and maintain procedures for confined-space entry, traffic control, excavation, environmental protection and other high-risk activities. Strong collaboration with internal departments, regulators, contractors, residents and external agencies will be required to resolve issues and support continuous service improvement.

Applicants should have a degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, water and wastewater operations, public works or a related discipline, together with significant progressively responsible experience in utility or municipal infrastructure management. A relevant professional or operator certification is an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, occupational health and safety requirements, regulatory compliance, maintenance practices, asset management and emergency preparedness. Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, scheduling, budgeting and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, operational reporting and contractor oversight will be valued. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to participate in after-hours emergency response may be required.
