Role PurposeThe Project Engineer is responsible for the technical development, design, and execution of solar PV projects-both Behind-the-Meter (BtM) and Grid Connected (GC)-across all project stages. This role ensures that projects meet performance, safety, and quality standards, delivering reliable and innovative renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Engineering Across All StagesDevelopment Stage:
Provide technical input for site assessments, feasibility studies, and conceptual designs.
Support technical documentation for permitting and grid connection applications.
Collaborate with commercial and external partners to optimize layouts and technology selection.
Design Stage:
Lead the review of detailed engineering designs performed by third parties (electrical, mechanical, civil, and communications).
Coordinate with internal/external designers to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practices.
Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and BoQs for procurement and construction.
Execution Stage:
Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Review and approve contractor submittals, manage technical queries, and resolve site issues.
Ensure quality control and compliance with design intent during construction and handover.
2. Continuous ImprovementCapture lessons learned to refine engineering standards and templates.
Support the adoption of new technologies and innovative processes.

Qualification CriteriaEducation: Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
Experience: +3 years in solar PV project engineering (BtM and/or Grid Connected).
Technical Skills: Proficient in PVSyst and CAD software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, PVCase, etc.).
Market Knowledge: Proven experience within the UK solar market is essential.
BESS: Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems is highly desired.
Languages: Fluent English is mandatory; Swedish or Spanish is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously.
