We are seeking an experienced Renewables Project Manager (PMO - Projects) to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of renewable energy initiatives from early development through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised project professional to support the delivery of complex projects that contribute to the transition towards a lower-carbon energy system. You will work across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating internal and external stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and reporting processes; monitoring progress against key milestones; and providing accurate updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums. You will coordinate project reviews, manage actions and dependencies, identify emerging risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. The role will also involve supporting project governance, procurement and commercial activities, maintaining high-quality project documentation, and promoting consistent PMO standards, tools and ways of working across the portfolio. You will build effective relationships with engineering, construction, commercial, finance, consenting and operational teams, as well as consultants, contractors and other delivery partners.
Applicants should have proven experience managing or coordinating projects within the renewable energy, energy, infrastructure, engineering or construction sectors. A strong understanding of project management principles, governance frameworks, risk management, financial control and change management is essential. Experience working within a PMO environment and managing multiple concurrent projects would be highly desirable. You will be confident using project planning and reporting tools, comfortable analysing complex information, and able to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. A relevant project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent, is advantageous. Above all, you will be proactive, commercially aware and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
