We are seeking a Track Design Engineer to support the development and delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Dammam. The role will be responsible for producing safe, practical and technically compliant track designs from concept through to detailed design and construction support. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements, applicable standards and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities include preparing horizontal and vertical track alignments, typical sections, track layouts, turnouts, crossovers, transition curves and associated civil interface details. You will undertake design calculations, technical assessments and design reviews, and produce drawings, specifications, schedules, reports and other engineering documentation. The role will also involve reviewing contractor submissions, responding to technical queries, supporting site inspections, identifying design risks and resolving clashes or constructability issues. You will contribute to design coordination with civil, structural, geotechnical, signalling, systems, drainage and utilities disciplines, while ensuring that health, safety, quality and environmental considerations are embedded throughout the design process.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant professional experience in railway track design and a sound understanding of heavy rail, metro or tramway infrastructure. Knowledge of track geometry, permanent way components, construction methods, railway standards and multidisciplinary design interfaces is essential. Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRail, Bentley or equivalent platforms is required, together with the ability to interpret survey, geotechnical and operational data. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are expected, along with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Professional registration or membership of a recognised engineering institution is desirable. The position is based in Dammam and may require coordination with project teams and occasional travel to work sites.
