EWI is working with an international engineering consultancy to recruit two experienced Resident Station Engineers, Architectural for a major Metro Rail project in the Philippines.
Working on behalf of the project's end client, the successful candidates will support the Senior Resident Engineer in supervising the construction of station civil, structural, architectural and building MEP works.
The role will be particularly suited to architectural professionals with experience supervising railway stations or other complex infrastructure and building projects. Candidates should be confident managing site teams, reviewing contractor programmes, maintaining contractual records and ensuring that works comply with the project's quality, safety, environmental and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Resident Engineer in the supervision of station civil, structural, architectural and building MEP works.Manage day-to-day construction supervision, quality assurance, measurement and site administration activities.Ensure comprehensive and accurate permanent site records are maintained.Oversee site correspondence, survey information, quality acceptance records, site diaries, measurements, certifications and meeting records.Guide station supervision personnel in maintaining complete records in accordance with project and contract-administration procedures.Provide the Contractor with survey data, reference points and information required for setting out the works.Receive, review and assess station work plans, construction programmes and implementation plans.Provide comments, recommendations or approvals as required under the Contract.Monitor compliance with specifications, workmanship standards, quality requirements, safety provisions and environmental obligations.Support the preparation of supervision reports, quality reports, technical notes and other project documentation.Assist with design coordination, changes, Variation Orders, Extension of Time matters and claims-related correspondence.
Requirements
A relevant architectural or construction-related professional background.Strong experience in architectural construction supervision.Previous client-side consultancy or supervision experience.Experience on railway stations, preferably elevated stations, or comparable large-scale infrastructure or building projects.Detailed knowledge of architectural finishes and façade systems.Experience with waterproofing, fire-rated construction and accessibility requirements.Strong understanding of quality-control procedures and multidisciplinary site coordination.The ability to supervise teams and maintain accurate contractual and construction records.Experience reviewing contractor programmes, work plans and implementation proposals.Good written communication skills, including the preparation and review of formal contractual correspondence.Knowledge of contract-based project coordination would be advantageous, particularly in relation to design changes, Variation Orders, Extensions of Time and claims.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate Electrical work packages across the project lifecycleOversee day-to-day electrical site operations in conjunction with the wider project teamManage site QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with project specifications and standardsCoordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and design teamsManage electrical subcontractor activities, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and weekly coordination meetingsEnsure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to dateAttend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover MeetingsLiaise with the design team to ensure construction information and technical submittals are issued in line with programme requirementsReview drawings, technical submittals, and ensure electrical systems are coordinated correctlySupport commercial management by tracking variations and attending weekly commercial meetingsIssue progress reports to the project teamCarry out, distribute, and close out electrical snagging itemsProactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues on site.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar disciplineMinimum 7 years' experience within the electrical construction sectorStrong background managing Electrical packages on large-scale construction projectsExperience in scheduling, sequencing, and programme managementExcellent organisational, communication, and coordination skillsStrong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and site operationsProven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project deliveryData centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.ewi is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer. ewi is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
