You will oversee feasibility studies, investigations, designs, permitting, procurement and construction support, while identifying and managing risks, issues, changes and opportunities. The role will involve reviewing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, supporting quality assurance processes, and building effective relationships with clients, regulators, utilities, contractors and internal teams. You may also contribute to proposals, business development, resource planning and the mentoring of less experienced staff.

Key responsibilities will include developing and managing engineering strategies, scopes, programmes and budgets; reviewing designs, specifications, calculations and technical submissions; coordinating civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process engineering interfaces; and supporting procurement, construction planning, installation and commissioning activities. You will identify and manage technical risks, resolve design and site issues, oversee design changes and non-conformances, and maintain accurate project records. The role will also involve contributing to bids and tender submissions, preparing technical reports, monitoring consultant and subcontractor performance, and promoting consistent quality, safety and environmental standards throughout project delivery.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, preferably with professional registration or a clear pathway towards it, together with substantial experience managing engineering delivery on water, wastewater or related infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of treatment processes, pumping stations, pipelines, hydraulic systems and associated civil or M&E works is highly desirable. You will need proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing design consultants and contractors, and working within regulated project environments.
